Chevrolet Captiva Service & Repair Manual: Door Trim Panel

Front

1. Remove three front door trim panel bolts, Fig. 1.
2. Disengage door lock cable.
3. Disconnect trim panel electrical connector.
4. Release front door trim panel retainers.
5. Remove front door trim panel assembly.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting following:
  a. Torque door trim panel bolts to 22 inch lbs.
  b. Torque door trim pull handle bolts to 22 inch lbs.

Rear

1. Pull door upper rear trim panel away from rear door.
2. Remove rear door trim panel screws, Fig. 2.
3. Remove rear door trim panel retainers.
4. Disengage door lock cable.
5. Disconnect trim panel electrical connector.
6. Remove rear door trim panel assembly.
7. Reverse procedure to install, noting following:
  a. Torque door trim panel bolts to 22 inch lbs.
  b. Torque door trim pull handle bolts to 22 inch lbs.

Liftgate

1. Release liftgate upper trim finish panel from retainer clips using a suitable trim tool.
2. Release liftgate righthand trim finish panel from retainer clips using a suitable trim tool.
3. Release liftgate lefthand trim finish panel from retainer clips using a suitable trim tool.
4. Remove liftgate window garnish molding.
5. Remove liftgate interior pull handle screw, Fig. 3.
6. Remove liftgate trim finish panel pull handle.
7. Remove liftgate trim finish panel screws.
8. Release liftgate trim finish panel retainers.
9. Remove liftgate trim finish panel.
10. Reverse procedure to install. Torque liftgate trim panel screws to 22 inch lbs.
