When system has calculated that oil life has been diminished, it will indicate that an oil change is required. A "CHANGE OIL" message will come on. Change engine oil as soon as possible within next 600 miles. It is possible that, if driving under best conditions, oil life may not indicate that an oil change is required for over a year. However, engine oil and filter must be changed at least once a year and at this time system must be reset.
If system is ever reset accidentally, change engine oil at 3000 miles since last oil change.
